Held every August, the Wrightwood Mountain Classic is one of the most popular Southern California car shows, featuring a wide variety of makes and models. Created by Leo Van Kampen, the show judges pre-1920 to 1973 cars, with a few dating back as far as 1918. While you're here, cool off with a snow cone, or grab a cold beer from the Yodeler, where you'll also find some live blues and rock-and-roll. More than 267 compete in the custom car show every year, from shiny red corvettes to classic Chevys, complete with a side of burgers and fries in the window. Muscle cars, Model Ts and even classic Woodies are in the mix, so there's a little something for everyone.
